Created for the documentary Pinball, this work uses layered photographic emulsion lifts to explore displacement, memory, and the shifting idea of home.

A portrait of Yosef is layered with a map of Baghdad, reflecting a life shaped by leaving Iraq for Kentucky in the aftermath of the 2003 war. The two images overlap as the places themselves do, holding different ideas of home within the same surface.
